In Year 5, children build greater independence and take on more responsibility for their learning as they prepare for the transition to upper Key Stage 2. Our curriculum encourages them to develop confidence in reading, writing and maths, while also exploring exciting topics across science, history, geography, and the arts. Pupils are supported to think critically, work collaboratively and show resilience in their learning. We also provide a range of enrichment opportunities to broaden their experiences and help them grow both academically and personally.
